Verse 20

Earthbound

When Ashima returned to the Temple she was met by Leah. Leah was mad at her, wondering what she had done. For she too had been ill and she had felt the Earth shake and she knew that something fundamental had been done and she was worried. And Ashima told her that she had freed Shemhazai from his eternal prison. And she told Leah everything now. That Emim - the nephilim that she had killed  - had been reborn as the boy Adam. And that Ashima herself were her Asherah Goddess herself, reborn in a mortal body. And Leah knew at that moment that it was the truth. And she fell down on her knees and she praised Ashima - the living Goddess. But Ashima told her to rise up. She wanted to keep it a secret. Only Leah and Tabitha could know. She wanted all to be as before. But in her heart dwelled an immense sadness. The sadness of being different. The sadness of being alone.
