In the month of Elul did Leah call Ashima to her chamber, delivering
a message of worry and trouble. Leah's sister in the city had been badly injured. Someone had shoved her in front of
a wagon. But Ashima said that they should open up the Space and that she thought that she could save her. And
Leah opened up the Space. And they saw a room on the other side. And they entered through the gate. And they
met a stranger there. A man. And they saw another man there to. A one-eyed man. And he was holding Leah's sister's by
the hair, a knife against her throat. And the first man looked at Ashima with despise in his eyes. He mocked her
for the way she looked. And then he tore her clothes to pieces so that she was standing naked. And he hit her
wiht a hard strike over her face. And he cut her arm with his knife sotaht she bled. And the man told Ashima
and Leah to do as he told them. And they left the house and the man drove Ashima and Leah before him. He drove them
through the alley, out on the street, onto the square, out among the people. While the one-eyed man had taken Leah's
sister up on the roof of the house, and would kill her if they would try to break free. And a woman with a
face that was badly burnt came to their side and walked with them. And the man shouted out high so that
every person there were to hear. He shouted lies about Ashima. He said that she was a whore and a witch. A demon. That
she had twisted his mind and his will into being unfaithful to his wife. And that Ashima out of wickedness and jealousy
had deformed the face of his wife. And he hit Asima over and over. And the people all around were hearing them.
And people all aroud started to scream at Ashima. They were the accomplishes of the man, but Ashima could not know that. And
they shouted that Ashima must be stoned. And more and more people were shouting. And it turned into a mob. There were
also many there who saw who knew that this man was a criminal and a wicked thief. Who knew that it was only lies.
But no one dared to interfere, for the criminals were dangerous and to do anything would surely mean death.
And more and more people screamed that Ashima must be stoned. More and more. And Leah could not take it anymore. She had
to help Ashima. And she opened up to the Force of Life. But the evil man struck his knife into her back. And the priestess
fell to the ground. She was dead.
But Haniel was there then in the square. And he was with Yared - the
young boy of Ashima's first family so long ago. Yared was there to sell goods on the market. For he had been forced flee
as the war had come to Tyre. And everone were dead. Only he and his mother Ila had survived and they now lived at a camp
for refugees outside of Hama. And now they heard the angry mob. And Haniel and Yared rushed to see what happened. They
saw men with stones in their hands. A woman was to be stoned. And Haniel the Angel reborn could not allow this cruel barbary
and crime. And he took his sword. And Yared took his axe. And Haniel saw then that it was his darling Ashima that they
were to stone. And a furious rage rose within him. And he drew his sword. And with his sword he cut his way through the
crowd. Cutting down all that stood in his way. And people were falling. Cut like hay did they fall to the ground in
puddles of blood and mutilation and death. And chaos was all that were. And Ashima saw a man that were to strike Yared
down with a rock. And the Goddess reborn raised her hand, and a sphere of fire appeared in her hand, and he
threw it at the evil man and he was strook down in pain, and Yared cut his head off with his axe. And the people who
had seen the flaming spere and who saw the brunt face of the wicked man were paralyzed by fear. And they all fell silent.
And the riot suddenly stopped. And the mob broke up. And all that was left now was a mess of blood and death. And Haniel
told Ashima to mount his horse and to ride away and flee as he took care of dead Leah and carried her away. But no one
came after Ashima. For the priests of Jehovah had accomplised their goal. For from this day Ashima would no longer be
a hero. She would be hated and feared by the people. And the people would think of Asherah now as a Goddess of death
and destruction. Asherah Goddess was powerless now. And Jehovah would now be the only God to be worshipped by
the people of Hama.
