Journey

It was the time of the vicious rule of Tiglath-Pileser III over Assyria from the city of Nineveh. Phoenicia was within the reach of his army. It was not a safe place for Asherah Goddess to dwell. And so, Haniel fled with Ashima towards Syria, a land already occupied, where the war had now swept over. And the white dove and the white goat were also with them.

They wandered through harsh and barren shrublands. They wandered for weeks. Through lands where robbers dwelled. Haniel had a sword that he had forged during the time with the family outside Tyre, to be used as protection. And still he possessed within him some of the Angelic powers and strenghts. But one dark evening, they were taken by surprise by three evil Assyrian soldiers in the desert. Two of the soldiers attacked Haniel with their swords. The third soldier went for Ashima and carried her away. And Haniel were more skilful and stronger than the soldiers, they were skillful warriors also, hardened by the horrors of the war, and they were two and had two swords and attacked from one side each. And Haniel did not have all of the Angelic powers anymore. And he could not escape to come to Ashima's rescue. And the third man attemped to rape Ashima. He threatened her with his sword against her neck. But as soon as the man laid his hands on her, a miracle happened. The evil man burst in tears of deepes despair sadness and remorse, and disgust over himself. He fell down on his knees and begged to Ashima to fogive him. For Ashima had felt his evil feelings, his loneliness and his pain, and she had drained them all from from his body. And she forgave him for the evil that he had attemped to do, and she put her arms around him to comfort the evil man in his tears. For so say the goddess - evil shall be fought with love, not by sword. Violence can only give birth to pain. But Haniel killed the two soldiers. And then he rushed to the side of Ashima. And he killed the third soldier. But to his surprise, it made Ashima cry from pain, and she was very mad at him. Indeed, Ashima is the Goddess of life and love, and every single death in this world makes Ashima cry. And she screamed out to Haniel: "Why did you kill him?! He was not dangerous anymore! I made him good! I freed him!" But Haniel did not understand. And in the moment of death, the man had felt no fear. For he had indeed been free.

And they passed over the border into Syria, and they wandered deep into the Syrian lands.

And from Heaven, Jehovah God followed their every step. And He was mad. And he was jealous. And He was vengeful. Jehovah is indeed a vengeful God. And he visited Ashima in her nightmares. It was the only way that He now could hurt her. And He scared her. For He carried so much rage.

Haniel had made for Ashima a little wooden sword that he gave her, to use for practice. Then he would give her a real sword he said. So that she never had to be afraid. Ashima wanted to tell him that no sword would ever be to her help. But she did not want to dissapoint her best friend and protector, so she took it and they started to practice. And she was at once very skilful with the sword. But never would she use it to harm a living being.

And Ashima turned six years old.
