Priests

In the Temple of Jehovah God, these were troubled times. The priests were all gatthered, listening to the words of the priest Shafan. For on the night before, Jehovah God had come to him in a vision. And Jehovah God had been maddened with anger at them. Because the priests had not yet exstinguished the other Gods and Goddesses, as they had promised Him. And Jehovah had told them that He would punish them. Punish them hard. For times eternal, His father El, His brother Baal, His wife Ashima, and Marduk and Assur, and many more Gods, had been worshipped alongside Him. For Jehovah God was a God who more than anything else desired power and obediance. He seeked to the Only God - the Almighty. There must be no God but Him. The humans must hear His words and do His will or be punished. But most of all, Jehovah God feared Her, the new Goddess, who were worshipped among the people of Hama. Ashima. She who could heal the sick and raise the dead. She who had defeated the nephilim - the life consuming demon of pure evil the could not die. He feared Her more than anything else. And the priest decided to do Jehovah God's will - Ashima must die.
